Change Yahoo Search preferences

Yahoo Search preferences are the settings used every time you search the web with Yahoo, unless you're using Advanced Search.

When you're signed in to your Yahoo account, your preferences are accessible from any computer. If you're not, your preferences will still be saved, just only to the computer you're currently using.

Access your Yahoo Search settings

On a desktop or laptop

  1. Sign in to Yahoo.
  2. In the search box, enter a search and click Search.
  3. On the search results page that displays, mouse over the gear icon Gear Icon.
  4. Click Preferences.

On a mobile device

  1. Sign in to Yahoo.
  2. Enter a search term.
  3. Tap Search.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Settings.
