Images don't load on Yahoo

We know browsing isn't much fun without pictures. If you're having trouble seeing images, we have the steps to get them back in view for you.


Problems with a specific image

If you're having problems with a specific image, click the Refresh or Reload button on your Web browser.

Problems with all images

If images aren't loading when you visit a Yahoo site, check your Web browser's image display settings.

Click your Web browser from the list below for complete steps:

Internet Explorer 7.0 or newer

  1. Select Tools | Internet Options.
  2. Click Advanced.
  3. Under the "Settings" list, locate Multimedia.
  4. Check the checkbox for Show Pictures.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Restart your browser.

Firefox 3.5 or newer

  1. Choose the menu option for your computer:
    • PC Windows: Select Tools | Options.
    • Mac OS X: Select Firefox | Preferences.
  2. Click Content.
  3. Click the checkbox for Load images automatically.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Restart your browser.

Safari 3.x or newer

  1. Choose the menu option for your computer:
    • PC Windows: Select Tools Safari Gear Icon | Preferences.
    • Mac OS X: Select Safari Safari Gear Icon | Preferences.
  2. Click Appearance.
    - The "Appearance" options pop-up window appears.
  3. Click the checkbox for Display images when the page opens.
  4. Close the "Appearance" window.
  5. Restart your browser.

Google Chrome

  1. Choose the menu option for your computer:
    • PC Windows: Select Tools Three horizontal lines | Options.
    • Mac OS X: Select Tools Three horizontal lines | Preferences.
    • Mac Chromebook: Select Tools Three horizontal lines | Settings.
  2. Under "Privacy," click Content settings.
  3. Under "Images," select Show all images (recommended).
  4. Click Done.
  5. Restart your browser.
