Alternate posting address for message posts

Want to post messages to your group using more than just the email address subscribed to the group? All you need to do is add an alternate posting address on the "Edit Email Options" page.

  1. Sign in to Yahoo Groups.
  2. Click All My Groups.
  3. Click Email Preferences.
  4. Next to your subscribed email address, click Edit.
  5. In the "Alternate Posting Addresses" box, enter your additional email address.
  6. Click Save.

Already see an alternate email address?

You might already have an alternate email address showing even if you didn't enter it. Yahoo Groups typically sets an alternate address automatically when you reply to the confirmation email when you first join your group.

For example

If you subscribed with the address "Joe@companyname.com," you might see an address like "Joe@mail.companyname.com" listed as your alternate email address, after you reply to the confirmation email. Since some email systems send messages from a specific mail server on a company's network, Yahoo Groups automatically detects and enters it as the alternate address.
