How do I get my registry key?

Your current registrar can provide the registry key for your domain.

A registry key is a unique code assigned to your domain name by your current registrar. Much like a PIN or other password, your registry key is designed to prevent fraudulent or unauthorized transfers.

Note that you'll need a registry key to transfer your domain to Yahoo only if your current registrar is affiliated with our domain registration partner, Melbourne IT. We'll let you know whether you need a registry key or authorization code (a similar kind of password for your domain) when you begin the transfer process.

Your current registrar can always provide your registry key. If your domain is registered through Yahoo, and you need your registry key, please contact us for assistance.
