Images don't load on Yahoo

Pictures make browsing the Internet more exciting. If you're images aren't loading, the following steps will get them back in view for you.

Problems with a specific image

If you're having problems with a specific image, click the Refresh or Reload button on your browser.

Problems with all images

If images don't load when you visit a Yahoo site, check your browser's image display settings.

Firefox

Verified for version 36

Images are loaded automatically.

Chrome

Verified for Version 40

  1. Click the Tools icon Three horizontal lines | select Settings.
    - The "Settings" tab appears.
  2. Click Show advanced settings.
  3. Under "Privacy," click Content settings.
  4. Under "Images," select Show all images (recommended).
  5. Click Done.

Safari

Verified for version 7

  1. Click Safari | select Preferences.
    - The "Safari preferences" window appears.
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Select Show Develop menu in menu bar.
  4. Close the "Safari preferences" window.
  5. Click Develop.
  6. Select Disable Images, if there's a check mark next to the option.
    - If there's no check mark, click anywhere outside the menu to close it.

Internet Explorer

Verified for version 10

  1. Click the Tools icon Tools menu icon | select Internet Options.
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Under "Settings", locate Multimedia.
  4. Select Show Pictures.
  5. Click OK.
