Autofill options for Chrome

Save time when you sign in to Yahoo by using your browser's Autofill feature. Autofill stores your Yahoo ID and password in your browser's cache so the Sign-in fields are automatically filled out for you whenever you're asked to sign in to Yahoo.

Autofill settings

Verified through version 40

Enable or disable Autofill

  1. Click the Customize Chrome icon Three horizontal lines | select Settings.
  2. Click Show advanced settings.
  3. Under "Passwords and Forms," select or deselect Enable Autofill to fill out web forms in a single click.
  4. Close the "Settings" window.

Prevent Autofill from remembering your password

When Chrome asks you if you'd like to store your password:

  1. Click the Down Arrow icon .
  2. Select Never for this site or Nope:
    • Never for this site - The Yahoo ID and password fields will always be blank.
    • Nope - You'll be asked to store your Yahoo ID and password the next time you sign in.
