Removal of Sign-in seal

Sign-in seal won't be used to certify a Yahoo sign in page's security anymore.

You used to have the option in your Yahoo Account Information to create a Sign-in seal guaranteeing a sign-in page's authenticity, but with the advances in secure communications for browsing, email, and instant messaging, there's no longer a need for it.

Securely signing in

Remember, all you need to sign in to Yahoo is your username and password.

If you're worried about a sign-in page's legitimacy, check that the URL (Web Address) contains "yahoo.com." For example: https://login.yahoo.com just before the next forward slash. All genuine Yahoo pages that ask you for your Yahoo ID and/or Password will always contain "yahoo.com."
