iOS app settings

Important - These settings only apply to the iOS app, not other Yahoo Search products you use.

Tap the Profile icon , then tap Settings to begin.

Device options - Turn on or off device-specific content.
- Contacts - Search your device's contacts.
- Calendar - Search your device's calendar (sync it with Yahoo Mail).
- Location - Find nearby food, shows, events, and more.
- Push notifications - Get notified about status changes.
Safe Search
- Strict - Filter out most adult content.
- Moderate - Filter out some adult content.
- Off - Don't filter out adult content.
Search History
- Recent searches can be saved for easy reuse later.
- Turn it off - Swipe the "Keep search history" slider to the left.
- Delete recent searches - Tap Clear History.

Search suggestions

As you enter search terms, a list of suggestions appear, based on popular Yahoo searches and your previous search history. Entering "light" might produce a suggestion of "lighthouse" or "lightning," for example.

To stop seeing your previous searches, turn off or clear your Search History (see above).
