Autofill options for Safari

Save time when you sign in to Yahoo by using your browser's AutoFill feature. AutoFill stores your Yahoo ID and password in your browser's cache so the Sign-in fields are automatically filled out for you whenever you're asked to sign in to Yahoo.

AutoFill settings

Verified through version 7

Enable or disable AutoFill

  1. Click Safari | select Preferences.
    - The "Safari Preferences" window appears.
  2. Click AutoFill.
  3. Select User names and passwords.
    - Deselect it to disable AutoFill.
  4. Close the "Safari Preferences" window.

Prevent AutoFill from remembering your password

When Safari asks if you'd like to store your password:

  1. Click Never for This Website or Not Now:
    • Never for This Website - The Yahoo ID and password fields will always be blank.
    • Not Now - You'll be asked to store your Yahoo ID and password the next time you sign in.
