Send us your log files from the Yahoo Mail app

When something stops working in the Yahoo Mail app, you can usually fix it yourself with our Android and iOS troubleshooting guides. If you're still having issues after using the guides, submit a log file to Engineering and they can investigate to see if it's an issue on our end.

  Don't expect a reply - It's important to note that Engineering may investigate and fix some issues you report, but typically won't reply to you directly. Check back in a few days to see if your issue's cleared up.

Submit a log file from your Android device

Enable debug logging

  1. Tap the Profile icon.
  2. Tap Settings Image of the Settings Icon.
  3. Tap About.
  4. Tap Enable debug logs.

Attempt to reproduce the issue. Once the issue occurs, submit the log.

  1. Tap the Profile icon.
  2. Tap Give feedback.
  3. Enter a quick note describing the issue.
  4. Make sure "Include logs" is on.
  5. Tap Send.
