Fix mobile browser issues

Problems with your mobile browser can cause Yahoo pages on mobile devices to stop working properly. These steps should get you back to what you want to do quickly.

Check if the problem is resolved before moving from one step to the next.

  1. Check your device has access to a network
    Make sure you can connect to the internet before you try more complicated steps to fix app problems.
  2. Force stop and restart the app
    When you force stop an app it refreshes the active memory for the app.
  3. Clear the browser's cache and cookies
    Delete temporary files the app is using to refresh them the next time you launch the app.
  4. Turn off private browsing
    Private browsing disables cookies which are necessary to get the full Yahoo experience.
  5. Enable location services
    Some Yahoo features require you enable location services to work correctly.
  6. Restart the device
    If you're still having problems with the app after you restart the device, the app could be corrupt. 
  7. Uninstall and reinstall the app
