Pending trades that disappear

In Yahoo Fantasy, managers have the ability to offer, accept and reject trades with other teams. When a trade is accepted it goes into a veto, or protest, period where other managers have an opportunity to challenge the trade and get it rejected. Rejected trades display in the transactions section of the league but voided trades will not be visible anywhere. Trades that become void will seemingly disappear without a trace.

How can a trade become void?

During the trade review period, you can’t make a roster move that would subsequently put your team over the roster limit, when the trade would process, or affect the players associated with the trade. This will occur in uneven trades when the player scheduled to be dropped:

  • Is dropped during a waiver claim, prior to the trade transaction.
  • Is traded to another team, prior to the trade transaction.
  • Is dropped outright, prior to the trade transaction.
If the player scheduled to be dropped in the original transaction is affected in any way, the trade will become void and the pending status will disappear.

Can Yahoo fix this?

It’s both managers’ responsibility to ensure the players associated with the trade are not altered, after a trade has been accepted. Yahoo Sports agents cannot process a trade retroactively, that has been voided by the system. If a trade has been voided by the system, the trade must be recreated.
