Add, remove, or edit lots in your portfolio

Record lots to track multiple purchases or dividend reinvestment plan (DRIP) purchases. You can enter and update holdings in your portfolios, except for those from linked brokerage accounts. Record values from short selling by using a negative "Shares" quantity (a negative value can't be entered in the "Price Paid" field).

Add a lot

From a desktop browser:

Sign in to Yahoo Finance.
Click My Portfolio.
Select the list you want to edit.
Click My Holdings.
Next to the symbol you want to add a lot to, click + Add lot.
Enter info for the lot you're adding in the data fields (the info is saved automatically).

From a mobile browser:

Sign in to Yahoo Finance.
Tap the Menu icon .
Tap My Portfolio.
Select the list you want to edit.
Tap My Holdings.
Next to the symbol you want to add a lot to, tap the Expand caret .
Tap Add lot.
Enter info for the lot you're adding in the data fields.
Tap Save lot.

Edit a lot

From a desktop browser:

Sign in to Yahoo Finance.
Click My Portfolio.
Select the list you want to edit.
Click My Holdings.
Click the Expand caret next to a symbol to show its lots.
Change the info for each lot you want to edit (the info is saved automatically).

From a mobile browser:

Sign in to Yahoo Finance.
Tap the Menu icon .
Tap My Portfolios.
Select the list you want to edit.
Tap My Holdings.
Tap on the number of shares for a symbol.
Change the info for each lot you want to edit.
Tap Save lot.

Delete a lot

From a desktop browser:

Sign in to Yahoo Finance.
Click My Portfolio.
Select the list with the lot you want to delete.
Click My Holdings.
Click the Expand caret next to a symbol to show its lots.
On the far right, click the Delete icon next to the lot you want to remove.

From a mobile browser:

Sign in to Yahoo Finance.
Tap the Menu icon .
Tap My Portfolios.
Select the list with the lot you want to delete.
Tap a symbol to show its lots.
Tap on the number of shares for that symbol.
Tap Delete lot.
