Fix problems with Android apps
If your Yahoo app isn't working on your Android device, these troubleshooting tips can help you solve the problem and get it working again.

Sign in problems
If you get a new phone number, but you're still using the same phone, follow these steps.
- Go to your Account settings page and click your existing number.
- Click Add recovery phone number.
- Enter your mobile number in the space provided.
- Click Send SMS.
- Yahoo sends a push notification to your phone.
- Enter the Account Key in the space provided.
- Click Verify.

If you're having trouble connecting to your Yahoo Mail account in the native Android Mail app, remove your Yahoo Mail account then re-add it in Android Mail.
Make sure your device can connect to the internet. If it can't connect, apps won't work.
App permissions are the settings that allow apps to connect to other information on your device. It's a good idea to review permissions for Android apps to make sure they're enabled.
