Safely access your Yahoo Account on a shared computer

If you ever sign in to your Yahoo account from a publicly accessible computer, it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with our account safety info and tips. We've put together a list of some of the top security info below.

  • Enable on-demand passwords
You can have a code sent to your mobile phone instead of entering a password.
  • Protect your account
Change the length of time you remain signed in or click Sign out after each session.
  • Turn on two-step verification
Two-step verification only triggers the first time you use a computer or device unless you've cleared your browser's cache, so it would be activated when using a public computer. (Remember that if two-step verification is enabled, then on-demand passwords must be turned off, and vice versa.)
