Fix problems with Yahoo Mail on BlackBerry
As long as you have the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS), you should be able to use Yahoo Mail on your BlackBerry device. Contact your carrier if you have any questions about BIS or need any further assistance with setting up or using your device, beyond what is covered in this troubleshooting guide.
Make sure your Yahoo account works
Use a desktop web browser and sign in to your account. If you have any issues signing in or sending and receiving emails, fix those issues first.
Power cycle the phone
Power cycling the phone will refresh the active memory for the apps on the device.
- Turn off your phone.
- Remove the battery, if applicable.
- Plug the battery back in and reboot the phone.
Re-add your account using up-to-date settings
Whether we've updated our server info or you've updated your password, you can simply re-add your account with up-to-date info to fix connection issues.
