Messages deleted from Exchange Linked Accounts

We've identified an issue starting October 25th that may have caused synced emails to appear deleted in Yahoo Mail inboxes. These messages appear to have been deleted internally and the syncing process then caused emails in Office 365 or Exchange email accounts to also be deleted.

We're actively working on a solution to restore the deleted emails.

What does this mean for you?

  • Emails synced from your Exchange account to Yahoo Mail from October 25th to November 6th are currently not visible in Yahoo Mail.
  • Please don't attempt to disconnect, then reconnect your account as this will make it more difficult to restore the emails on our end.
  • If you have already taken steps to recover these emails via Outlook, you should be able to see them by logging directly into Outlook. Visit Outlook's support page for information about recovering emails.
  • Our customer care team is aware of the issue and is monitoring its status as our engineering team works to resolve the issue. We will notify you once your missing emails are available in Yahoo Mail.
