COVID-19 effects on Yahoo Fantasy Basketball season
The NBA will have a shortened season and will consist of only 72 games. We will be continuing to follow the lead of the league to determine how the fantasy season will run.
There will not be a specific COVID spot on the roster for managers. If a player is determined to have COVID their game status will follow the normal IL protocol since the NBA will not have a COVID list. Players will be placed on the IL while out. They will likely start with day-to-day status until they have been out more than 7 days. Public Free and Prize leagues will have one additional IL spot than normal to help with managing rosters. See the Identify and manage injured and inactive players in Yahoo Fantasy Sports article for information relating to injury status.
Commissioners will need to take the necessary steps in helping manage their leagues the way they see fit with the shortened season. See the help articles below for additional information and resources.
