Update your account's personal and recovery info

The personal info in your account does more than just identify you; it helps you get back in to your account if you’re ever locked out.

You can update your personal details at anytime.

Steps to update your account recovery info

Edit your phone number or email address (account recovery info)

 Trouble signing in? If you can't sign in, but want to update your recovery info because it's incorrect or outdated, you'll need to recover access to your account first. Learn more about how to solve sign-in issues in our overview.

  1. Sign in to your Account Info page.
  2. Click Account security.
  3. Click the phone number or email address you'd like to update.
    • Phone number - click the Trash Can icon Delete icon to delete a number you're no longer using or click Add recovery phone number to enter a new number.
    • Email address - click the Trash Can icon Delete icon to delete an email address you're no longer using or click Add recovery email address to enter a new email address.
  4. In both cases, you need to verify that it's the correct info:
    • For added phone numbers, verify through SMS.
    • For added email addresses, click the link in the verification email we sent you.

Adjust your share settings

  1. Sign in to your Account Info page.
  2. Click your name.
  3. Enter the info that you'd like displayed in the correct field. (If desired, the address fields can be left blank.)
  4. Using the drop-down menus, select No one to make your info private or Everyone to make it public.
  5. Click Save.

Remove an alias

  1. Sign in to your Account Info page.
  2. Click Personal info.
  3. Click Manage aliases.
    - The page for managing your identities opens.
  4. Click Delete next to the alias you'd like to remove.
    - A pop-up window opens.
  5. Click Delete Now.
  6. Click Close to return to Personal info.
