Saving Your Customized Toolbar

You can customize Verizon Yahoo! Toolbar by adding Apps and setting your toolbar preferences. The decision you need to make is whether you want your customizations to remain on your local computer where you’ll see them each time you open your browser, or you want to save them to your Verizon Yahoo! Username so that you can use your personalized Toolbar when you sign into Verizon Yahoo! on any computer and use a browser with the Verizon Yahoo! Toolbar installed.

Note: You must sign in when accessing private content such as email and your profile. When you sign in, you won’t see your customized buttons if you’ve elected to save them to your computer. If you want to have an App available whether or not you sign in, add it to your toolbar both when you’re signed in and when you’re signed out.

 

Here’s How

  1. Sign in to your Verizon Yahoo! account. (Show me how.)

  2. Click the settings button (Settings), then select Toolbar Preferences.

    Click the settings button, then select Toolbar Preferences.

    The Toolbar Settings page opens displaying general preferences.

  3. On the right side of the settings page, select an option under Save Layout Preferences.

    Select an option.

    • Save my Yahoo! Toolbar layout and settings to this computer only—Saves the changes you make to the Toolbar on the local computer. The Internet Explorer or Firefox browser you use on any computer displays the Verizon Yahoo! Toolbar layout customized on that computer whether or not you sign into your Verizon Yahoo! account.

    • Save my Yahoo! Toolbar layout and settings to my Yahoo! ID—Saves the changes you make to the Toolbar with your Verizon Yahoo! Username. To see your customized Toolbar on any computer, sign in to your Verizon Yahoo! account.

  4. Click the I’m Done button.

    Click the I’m Done button.
