How can I move my blog to another page?

To add your blog to another page, you'll need to open both the current file and the file to which you want to add the blog in your HTML Editor or similar tool.

To get started, locate the file that currently displays your blog. If you set up your blog as your home page, this file is called index.html and is located in the main (root) directory of your site. If instead you set up your blog in a subdirectory of your site — at widgetdesigns.com/blog/myblog.html, for example — you'll find your blog file (myblog.html) in that subdirectory (blog).

  1. In your File Manager, open the page to which already added your blog by clicking the "Edit" next to the file name.
  2. In that file, locate the code that represents your Yahoo! 360° blog. The special code will look like this:
    <link href="http://us.js2.yimg.com/us.js.yimg.com/lib/smbiz/css/y360_blog.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
    <!--#blog func="title" -->
    <!--#blog func="description" -->
    <!--#blog func="posts" args="cnt=5" -->
  3. Copy the code by clicking your mouse at the beginning of the code and, holding down your mouse, dragging the mouse over the entire section of code. Click the CTRL and C buttons on your keyboard (Apple and C for Mac users), or choose "Copy" from the "Edit" menu of your browser.
  4. Now you need to open the page to which you want to add your blog. Click the "Back" button on your browser to return to your File Manager, then navigate to the page you want to open. Open the page to which you want to add your blog by clicking the "Edit" icon next to the file name.
  5. Paste your code into the file exactly where you'd like your blog to appear: Click on your chosen spot in the page, then hold down the CTRL and V buttons (Apple and V for Mac users), or choose "Paste" from the "Edit" menu of your browser.
  6. Save your change by clicking the "Save" button.

  7. To view your blog page, return to the File Manager and click the "View" icon next to the page name.

Note: We recommend copying your blog from one page to another rather than cutting and pasting. Copying the blog code means that when you have completed the steps above, your blog will appear on two pages. After you've reviewed the blog on the second page, you can return to your File Manager and remove the blog from that page (or delete the original page altogether), if you like.

You can move or rename your blog anytime, but to continue to use your Blog Manager to manage your blog, you'll need to tell us on which page it appears. Learn how.
