Adding a Tab

Tabs provide a way to organize your content into meaningful groups. When you first opened My Yahoo!, we gave you your first tab, My Main Tab, filled with content based on your location and interests. You can delete and add content to this tab, and you can also add your own tabs and fill them with content that you like. For example, you could have a "Celebrities" tab that includes blogs and news about today’s well-known people and a "Jokes" tab that brings you your favorite comic strips and joke of the day. You can have up to 9 tabs.

Here’s How

  1. Click the New Tab button found to the right of the tab bar.

    Click the New Tab button.

Tip: If you don’t see the New Tab button, you’ve most likely met your limit of 9 tabs. You’ll have to delete a tab before you can add a new one.

    Several things happen:

    • Your new, blank tab opens with a generic name of My New Tab.
    • Your new tab picks up the color and theme of the previous tab.
    • The content gallery opens so that you can start adding content to your tab.

  2. Personalize your new tab.
