Deleting Messages from Your History
You can manage your instant message history by deleting unwanted messages.
Here’s How

Open the My History tab. (Remind me how.)

Select a message line.
The entire message appears in the lower part of the My History tab.

Click the Delete button.
Messenger deletes the message from your history.
What’s Next
If you want to ensure that you don’t delete the wrong message from your history, enable the delete confirmation window. In the My History tab, click the Options button. In the Message History Options, check the Ask before deleting a message option, then click the Done button. The next time you attempt to delete a message, the confirmation window will open and let you confirm or cancel the deletion.
Tip: Checking the Don’t ask me again option in the confirmation window is the same as unchecking the Ask before deleting a message option in the Message History Options window.
