Unblocking Addresses

If you would like to receive email from a friend or business whose address you’ve blocked, it’s easy to unblock the address.

Note: If you mark a message as spam, the address doesn’t go into your blocked list, so you can’t remove spam email addresses from this list. To learn more about spam and SpamGuard, take a look at the Using SpamGuard tutorial.

Here’s How

  1. Open the Blocked Addresses page. (Remind me how.)

  2. To remove a blocked address or domain from your list, select the address or domain, then click the Remove Block button.

Select any address, then click the Remove Block button.

Mail removes the address or domain from the list and a message confirms the removal.

What’s Next

Blocking an address is the surest way to guarantee that you don’t receive email from the sender. If you want to help the greater Yahoo! community, you can mark a message as spam. This helps train SpamGuard—a Yahoo! Mail tool—to recognize this sender as a spammer. Take a look at the Using SpamGuard tutorial to learn about the tool and how to help train it.
