Sending Your Message

The order in which you compose your email message is your choice. You can address it, write your message, and then attach files; attach files, write your message, and then address it; or mix it up. Just be sure to have an email address in the To box before you click the Send button.

Tips:

If you aren’t ready to send your email message, save it as a draft in the Drafts folder by clicking the Save as a Draft button. You can open the message at another time, complete it, and then send it when you’re ready. To learn more, read the Working With Drafts and Sent Messages tutorial.

By the way, Yahoo! Mail automatically saves a draft of your message periodically after you start typing. To be sure you save a draft of your entire message, it’s always a good idea to click the Save as a Draft button.

 

Here’s How

  1. When you’ve finished composing your message, click the Send button.

    Click the Send button.

    Yahoo! Mail sends your message to the addresses listed in the address boxes and displays a confirmation page.

    A confirmation page tells you the message was sent.

 

What’s Next: Adding Your Recipients to Your Yahoo! Address Book

The Message Sent confirmation shows you which recipient addresses are already in your Yahoo! Address Book and gives you an opportunity to add the ones that aren’t.

  1.  

    Uncheck the recipients you don’t want to add to your address book, then click the Add to contacts button.

    Click the Add to Contacts button.

  2.  

    In the Address Book page, follow the instructions to add the contact information to your Address Book.
