Viewing Contacts by Alphabetic Group

How your contacts display within a category depends on how many contacts are in the category and the maximum number of contacts displayed per page. While a user-defined category may have 5 contacts, the Yahoo!-defined All category could have hundreds of contacts. Learn more Five contacts can easily display on one page, but hundreds of contacts cover many pages.

The maximum number of contacts per page and the total number of contacts to display determine how you navigate between groups:

  • If the total number of contacts displayed is fewer than the maximum number of contacts per page, all contacts appear on one page. Scroll down to see more contacts.

All contacts appear on a single page.

  • When the total number of contacts is greater than the number that can appear on one page, they are divided into alphabetical groups. If there are fewer than 10 groups, there's a link at the top of the page for each group. Click a group's link to see the corresponding page.

Click a link to view a group of contacts.

  • If there are 10 or more alphabetical groups, the groups are listed on a pull-down list. Select a group from the list to see its page.

Select a group to view from the menu.

You can also click the Prev and Next links to move to the previous or next alphabetical group.

Click the Prev or Next link.
