Changing how Contacts are Sorted Within a Category

Initially, your Yahoo! Address Book sorts contacts by their last name. You can change this ordering on a category by category basis and sort your contacts by last name, first name, or email address.

Here’s How

  1. On the Contacts tab, click the Edit link next to Categories.

    Click the Edit link.

    The Edit Categories page appears.

  2. Click the Edit link next to the category in which you want to reorder contacts.

Click the Edit link next to a category.

The Edit Category page displays the information for the selected category.

  3. Under the Contact Ordering label, choose how you want this category to display its contacts by selecting an option from the pull-down list, then clicking the Save button.

Select a sort order for contacts in the selected category.

You’re returned to the Edit Categories page.

  4. Return to your Address Book by clicking the Contacts tab, then click the selected category to confirm how your contacts are sorted.
