How can I remove a blog from my site?

If you no longer want to display your Yahoo! 360° blog on your site, you can deactivate it anytime.

Deactivating your blog will remove it from your site; however, your blog will continue to appear in your Yahoo! 360° account. If you decide to activate a Yahoo! 360° blog on your site again, all of your blog content will be preserved. (To remove any trace of your blog, you'll need to delete your blog entries or use the tools in your Yahoo! 360° account to make your blog unavailable to the public.)

Deactivating your blog will also not delete the page on which the blog appeared; it simply removes that page's contents. To permanently remove the blog page from your site, you'll need to delete it yourself. Learn how.

Please note that we no longer offer Yahoo! 360° blogs, so if you deactivate your existing blog, you will not be able to reactivate it again on your web site. If you'd like to set up a new blog, consider upgrading to a Web Hosting plan, which includes professional blogging tools, or trying out another free blog service, such as Typepad.

To deactivate your blog:

  1. Visit the Manage tab of your GeoCities Control Panel.
  2. In the first module, click the "Blog Manager" link.

  3. In your Yahoo! 360° blog module, click the "Deactivate blog" link.

  4. You'll be asked to confirm that you want to deactivate your blog. Click "Deactivate" to finish deactivating the blog on your site.
