Turning Pop-Up Blocker and Sound On/Off

Pop-Up Blocker is ready to block pop-up windows when you first add it to your Yahoo! Toolbar. When it blocks a pop up, it displays a flash icon and plays a sound. You can control this behavior.

Here’s How

  1. To check if Pop-Up Blocker is on or off, just check the icon appearance. The Blocker is on when you see Pop-Up Blocker on and off when you see Pop-Up Blocker off.

    And, if you hold the cursor over the button, the tooltip that appears tells you if the Blocker is on or off.

  2. To turn Pop-Up Blocker on or off, select Enable Pop-Up Blocker from the menu.

    Select Enable Pop-Up Blocker from the menu to turn the feature on or off.

    A check in front of the menu item indicates that the Blocker is on.

  3. To turn Pop-Up Blocker off or on, select Enable Pop-Up Blocker from the menu.

    Select Enable Pop-Up Blocker from the menu to turn the feature off or on.

    A check in front of the menu item indicates that the Blocker is on.

  4. To turn the Pop-Up Blocker sound notification on or off, select Play Sound When Pop-Up Is Blocked from the menu.

    Select Play Sound When Pop-Up Is Blocked to turn the sound on or off.

    A check in front of the menu item indicates that sound is on.
