Signing In to Yahoo!

To customize older versions of the Yahoo! Toolbar and Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker, you must sign in to Yahoo!.

Note: If you see a yellow Web Search button on your Toolbar (You’re using the newest Yahoo! Toolbar Available in IE only), you’re using the newest version of the Toolbar and you don’t need to sign in. In older versions, your customizations are saved with your Yahoo! ID. In the newest version, your customizations are saved on the computer and available whenever you open your browser on that computer. Click here to go to the tutorial for your version of the Toolbar.

Here’s How

  1. Launch the Internet Explorer or Firefox browser.

  2. Click the Sign In button on the Toolbar.

Tip: If you don’t see the Sign In button on the Toolbar, but you do see the double arrows at the end of the Toolbar, click the arrows. The Sign In button should appear in the pull-down list.

Click the double arrows at the end of the Toolbar, then select the Sign In button.

    The sign-in page opens.

  3. Type your Yahoo! ID email address and password, then click the Sign In button.

Type your Yahoo! ID and password, then click the Sign In button.

You’re now signed in to Yahoo!. Your My Yahoo! page appears, and the Yahoo! Toolbar is updated with any customizations you’ve configured.

Tip: If a Web page you visit changes your home page, select Internet Options on the Tools menu, and click the Use Default button in the Home page section; then click the OK button.
