Controlling Who Views Your Profile

Who Can See and What Setting Viewing Permissions Hiding Your Profile Making Your Profile Hard to Find

Who Can See Your Profile and What They Can See

You have a lot of control over the information that appears on your profile and who can see that information.

What Everyone Can See

Anyone who views your profile in Yahoo! can see some information about you. Your display name and your photo are always visible to your profile visitors.

  • If you’re an adult, your gender and location are also visible, if you’ve included these in your profile. (Remember, these details are optional, so don’t include them if you don’t want to share them with the world.)

  • If you’re a teenager, only your gender is also visible. Your age, and location don’t appear to people who aren’t your connections.

You can also choose to share your age, status, About Me information, blog, Updates, and/or guestbook with anyone who views your profile by changing the permission to Anyone.

You can make your status, age, About Me, blog, Updates, and guestbook visible to everyone.

What Your Connections Can See

People you’ve included in your connections automatically get to see more about you. In addition to the basic information, connections always see your full name, your status message, About Me, and Connections information.
