To change an app’s notification settings:

Many apps generate updates and broadcast them to your connections, which lets your friends see which apps you’re using and shows you what cool stuff they’re spending their time on. You can control which updates are sent and who they are sent to.

  1. Click Settings on the app’s Options menu.

    The Settings pane opens.

Note: Other kinds of updates, such as those generated by activities on your profile on Yahoo!, aren’t affected by this button.

You can turn broadcasts back on at any time by clicking the Start broadcasting button.

    Click Start sending messages

Note: The Stop sending messages and Start sending messages buttons affect only the behavior of the current app. To stop receiving messages from all apps, go to each app individually and change its setting.
