Moving Content

You can move content within a tab or to another tab.

Note: You can’t move the Personal Assistant, but you can collapse and expand it or remove it from a tab.

 

Here’s How

To move content within a tab:

  1. Place the cursor over the content’s title area (in the example below, the content has been collapsed).

    The cursor changes to the move symbol (you can’t move the Personal Assistant).

  2. Drag and drop the content on a new location above or below other content.

    Drag and drop the content on a new location in the tab.

    Tip: The area above or below other content highlights to let you know where the moved content will be placed when you release the mouse button.

    All of the content in the column adjusts to accommodate the relocated content.

 

To move content to another tab:

  1. Place the cursor over the content’s title area (in the example below, the content has been collapsed).

    The cursor changes to the move symbol (you can’t move the Personal Assistant).

  2. Drag and drop the content on the destination tab’s name in the tab bar.

    Drag and drop the content on the destination tab.

    The content moves from the displayed tab to the top of the left or right column in the destination tab. Just click the destination tab to see where your content has been placed.

 

What’s Next

If you want to have the same content on more than one tab, add the content to the different tabs instead of moving the content from one tab to another.

  • Drag and drop: the ability to move an object from one place to another by placing the cursor over an object, pressing the left mouse button, dragging the selected object to another location, and releasing the mouse button.
  • Tab: an organizational unit in My Yahoo! used to organize content into meaningful groups. Your My Yahoo! page can have up to 9 tabs.
