You can customize your tab by changing the number of columns it displays. This is one way to optimize your tab’s content display. Each tab has its own layout.
View the tab that you want to change by clicking its title in the tab bar.

Click Change Appearance.

Click Change Layout.

Select a layout by clicking one of the six choices.

The tab readjusts to allow for the layout change. Content remains in its original columns.

Tip: My Yahoo! allows 2-, 3-, and 4- column layouts defaulting
to 2 columns with each new tab.
If you increase the number of columns—say, you change
a 2-column tab to a 3-column tab—the content remains in its original
column leaving the new column empty. All you have to do is move content into
the new columns.
Drag and drop content by its title into the new column layout until you have them arranged as desired.
