Adding Groups of Related Content
A variety of interests are shared by many people, such as entertainment, news, cooking, and sports, and we’ve got lots of content to satisfy these interests. In fact, we’ve packaged related content into groups so that you can easily add a new tab filled with related information without having to search for each bit of content.
Here’s How
In any tab, open the content gallery by clicking Add Content.
Click Preloaded Tabs found near the bottom-center of the gallery.

Scroll through the content by clicking the next and previous buttons.
To add a preloaded tab, click the Add button.
A new tab appears temporarily with a confirmation window telling you what type of content the tab includes.
To add the tab to your My Yahoo!, click the Keep It button in the confirmation window.
The new tab becomes permanent in your My Yahoo!.
What’s Next
You don’t need to stop with the content we’ve provided. Add, move, and remove content as you like. We get you started by providing lots of related content, and you make it your personal tab by customizing it however you want. What do you want to do?
Words to Know
- Content: information in My Yahoo! that changes on a regular basis, such as news items, sporting events, and the weather.
- Preloaded tab: a pre-defined tab of related content created by the people at Yahoo! and made available to you as a quick way to add tabs of content to My Yahoo!.
- Tab: an organizational unit in My Yahoo! used to organize content into meaningful groups. Your My Yahoo! page can have up to 9 tabs.
