Deleting a Status Message
Sorry, you can’t actually delete a status message, but you can remove it from view.
Tip: Messenger keeps five of your messages removing the oldest when you write a new one.
Here’s How
Click the arrow to the right of the message, then select Clear My Status Message from the menu.
The message remains on the availability menu, but is no longer seen by your friends.
What’s Next
Even when you aren’t communicating with your friends, you can let them know where you are, if you’re available, and how you’re feeling by adding a status message.
