Yahoo! Messenger makes it easy to populate your Messenger List with contacts.
One way to quickly populate your Messenger List is to use the Import feature. With this feature, Messenger searches through your Yahoo! Address Book and gathers a list of contacts that already use Messenger. You then select the ones you want to add to your Messenger List—with their approval, of course.
