Working With Plug-ins

Here’s How

1. Click the Add Plug-ins button in the Messenger window to add a tab plug-in, or the Activities button in the conversation window to add a conversation plug-in.

   

   Tip: To see the Add Plug-ins button in the Messenger window, you may need to expand the Plug-ins section by clicking the button.
   
   

   The Plug-ins Manager window opens.

   If a plug-in is already added, a Stop button displays to the right. If you haven’t added one, a Start button displays. The following is an example of the tab plug-ins manager.

   

2. Click the Start button to the right of the plug-in you’d like to start.

   Tip: Only plug-ins with the Yahoo! logo () are certified by Yahoo!.

You can find more plug-ins by perusing the Plug-in Gallery at the Yahoo! Messenger Web site. We add new plug-ins all the time, so be sure to check the gallery often. When you add a plug-in from the gallery, Messenger also adds it to your Plug-in Manager so that you can stop, start, and uninstall it as you like.
