You can add a Pingbox™ to a Web page during the creation process, or add it later.
Tip: Though you can add the same Pingbox to more than one page, we recommend that you create one Pingbox per page and that you give it a name that lets you know what page your visitors are on, such as "MySpace Friends". Remember, you can create up to 10 Pingboxes.
Open the page that lets you add a Pingbox to a website in one of the following ways:
If you’re creating the Pingbox, click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
If you’re editing the Pingbox, click the Next button at the bottom of the page.
In the Messenger window, select My Pingbox from the Messenger menu. On the Manage your Pingboxes page, click the Add to website button under the Pingbox you want to add.

This opens the page where you can select the website to which you want to add the Pingbox. Any Website is your first option.
Each website option provides the code and instructions required to add the Pingbox to the Web page.
Choose a website by clicking an option button. This example uses My Space.
Note: Choose Any Website if you understand what is required to add a Pingbox to a page not listed in the options. This flexible option lets you add a Pingbox to just about any of your personal pages...and since we don’t know what that page might be, we’re unable to provide instructions.

The code and instructions for that option display below.
Copy the code to the clipboard, then follow the instructions to add the Pingbox to the Web page.

When someone visits your page, you’ll see that you have a visitor (or more) in the Pingbox group on your Messenger List.

Unless your visitor types a nickname in the Pingbox (the nickname is how they can identify themselves), you’ll see Visitor # on your Messenger List. The number is an incremental value that continues to increase up to 9999.
When someone visits your page, just as when one of your contacts comes online, you’ll see an alert in the bottom-right corner of your screen

If you have several Pingboxes and lots of visitors, you might find this alert a bit intrusive. You can turn it off for each Pingbox by right clicking the group name and selecting Alert Me When Visitors Are Online (a checkmark next to the option means the alert is on).
