Sending a File

You can send one or more files to a contact using Yahoo! Messenger, and it’s so easy. If you have a folder open, you can drag and drop files onto the conversation window or the contact’s name. You can also add files through the Send a File menu option.

Tips:

If your computer has a firewall, you may need to disable it before you can send a file through Messenger.

You can’t share files with contacts outside the Yahoo! network, such as your Windows Live™ Messenger contacts and Pingbox™ visitors.

Here’s How

  1. Locate the files you want to send.

  2. Drag and drop one or more files onto the conversation window, or...

What’s Next

You can also send files using the Send a File option from the Actions menu in the Messenger or conversation window. Don’t let the label fool you; you can send multiple files, not just one.
