Controlling What the List Displays

Initially your Contact List shows all of your online, offline, and Address Book contacts and displays a detailed list (two lines instead of one). You can change this display, and Messenger will keep your display choice from session to session.

Here’s How

  1. To display a two- or one-line list, click the menu to the right of the Contact Action Bar, then select Detailed List (2 lines) or Contact List (1 line).

Click the Contact Action Bar menu, then select Compact or Detailed List.

    • Detailed List (the initial display) shows contact information in two lines.

    • Compact List shows contact information in one line.
