Working With Plug-ins

Here’s How

1. Click the Add Plug-ins button in the Messenger window to install personal plug-ins, and in the IM window to install conversation plug-ins.

   

   The Plug-ins Manager window opens.

   Tip: The personal plug-ins manager opens in a separate window. The conversation plug-ins manager opens on the right side of the IM window. Though the plug-ins differ in each manager, the functionality is the same for both.

2. Click the My Plug-ins tab to see your currently installed plug-ins.

   

3. To install new plug-ins, click the Featured Plug-ins tab.

   

   The Featured Plug-ins tab displays plug-ins that you might like to try.

   

   Tip: Only plug-ins with the Yahoo! logo () are certified by Yahoo!.

4. Click the name of a plug-in to see its description.

   

5. Click the Try it now link to install the plug-in.

6. To search for more plug-ins, click the Plug-ins Gallery link.

   

   The Gallery web page opens where you can browse and download plug-ins.

   Tip: New plug-ins are added all the time. Be sure to check the Plug-ins Gallery often.
