Personal plug-ins enhance the content and services that you can enjoy while using Yahoo! Messenger. You can use many of the Yahoo! products you already use, like Yahoo! 360°, LAUNCHcast Radio, and Yahoo! Weather.
Tip: Conversation plug-ins are available only when you’re in an IM window. For more information on conversation plug-ins, see Using Conversation Plug-ins.
To use a personal plug-in, expand it (if it isn’t already) by double-clicking it or clicking the down-pointing arrow and selecting Expand from the menu.

The plug-in expands in the plug-in area.

You can now interact with the plug-in.
To display a full view of a plug-in (for those that require more space than the Messenger window allows), click the Show Full View icon.

A separate window opens displaying the full view of the plug-in.

Tips: Only one full view can be shown at a time. If you click
the Show Full View icon of another plug-in,
its full view replaces the one already open.
To close the full view window, click the close button
(
).
To close a plug-in (remove it from the Messenger window, but not delete it), click the down-pointing arrow and select Close from the menu.

Messenger removes the plug-in from the viewed list.
To show a plug-in that you’ve closed, do the following:
Click the Add Plug-ins button.

In the My Plug-ins tab of the Plug-ins Manager window, find the plug-in you want to show, then click the Start button.

Tip: Clicking the Stop button removes the plug-in from the Messenger window (similar to selecting Close from the down-pointing arrow).
The Messenger window expands to accommodate quite a few plug-ins. When it can’t display all the plug-ins that you’ve installed, you’ll see a double arrow button displayed to the right of the Add Plug-ins button. You can click this button to display a list of your remaining plug-ins, and select a plug-in to display.

In addition to using personal plug-ins, you can use conversation plug-ins while instant messaging with friends.
