Inviting a Contact to Share Photos

During an IM conversation, you can share up to 300 photos with your contact. Both you and your contact can contribute to the photos you share.

Tip: You can’t share photos while conversing with Windows Live™ Messenger contacts; the feature isn’t supported.

Here’s How

  1. At the top of the IM window, click the Photos button.

Click the Photos button to begin sharing photos.

A message informs you that your invitation to share photos has been sent.

Your invitation to share photos has been sent.

Your contact has the option to accept or decline your invitation.

When your contact clicks Accept, your IM window expands and the Share Photos side panel appears. The same thing happens to your contact’s IM window.
