Working With the Messenger List

Here’s How

1. Open your Messenger Preferences window by selecting Preferences from the Messenger menu in your Messenger window or from the Conversation menu in your IM window.

2. In the Preferences window, select the Appearance category.

3. To change the font color, do the following on the right side of the Preferences window:

   • Under List Text, click the Font Color box.

     

     The Color window opens.

   • In the Color window, select a color, then click the OK button.

     

     Tip: Color selection and defining custom colors works the same here as it does elsewhere in Windows.

     Your color choice displays in the Font Color box of the Messenger Preferences window.

     

4. To change the font type, do the following on the right side of the Preferences window:

   • Under List Text, click the Font button.

     

     The List Text Style window opens.

   • In the List Text Style window, select a font and size, then click the OK button.

     

     Your font choice displays as the label of the Font button on the Messenger Preferences window.

     

5. Click the OK button to close the Messenger Preferences window.

   Your Messenger List displays your font changes.

   

   Note: The font color change affects only contact names and not group names.
