Deleting a Group

Before deleting a group from your Messenger List, you must either delete the contacts that the group contains or move them to another group. Once the group is empty, you can delete it.

Here’s How

  1. In your Messenger List, empty the group of contacts in one of the following ways:

  2. Select the group, then right-click and select Delete Group from the displayed menu or select Organize Messenger List > Delete Group from the Contacts menu.

  3. Confirm the deletion.

Yahoo! Messenger removes the group from your Messenger List.

Note: Deleting a group can’t be undone.

What’s Next

You can create, rename, and delete groups as needed, and move contacts from one group to another at any time.
