You can select the ringtone that plays when you receive a PC-to-PC call through Yahoo! Messenger. You can even assign special ringtones to different contacts on your Messenger List, so that you know who’s calling when you hear the ringtone.
Tip: Yahoo! Phone In calls always use the default ringtone (called Ring Ring).
This task shows you how to:
The right side of the Calling & Audio preferences, found in the Yahoo! Messenger Preferences window, displays a list of available ringtones. You can select a ringtone and listen to it before making it your default.

To select your default ringtone:
Open your Messenger Preferences window and select the Calling & Audio category. (Remind me how.)
Under the Ringtone section on the right side of the Preferences window, select a ringtone from the list.

If you want to hear how the ringtone sounds, click the Play button.

To make the selected ringtone your default, click the Set Default button.

Click the OK button.
To select a ringtone for a specific contact:
Select a ringtone for a specific contact in one of the following ways:
In the Messenger window, right-click the contact name and select a ringtone from the Ringtone menu.
In the IM window, select a ringtone from the Actions > Contact Options > Ringtone menu.
Calls from this contact use the specified ringtone. Calls from contacts without specified ringtones use the default ringtone.
Yahoo! Messenger comes with a few ringtone choices. For more variety, import your own ringtones.
