Changing the Messenger Language
You can indicate your language when you sign in, or change it through the Preferences window.
Here’s How
On the Sign-in page, select an option from the Language menu, then click the Sign In button. (You can change this anytime through the Preferences window as shown below.)
To set your language through the Preferences window, select Preferences from the Messenger menu.
In the Language category, select a language from the pull-down list.
If this is the first time you’ve selected the language, a window opens showing the download process.
Restart Messenger to see the selected language or wait until later. If you wait until later, click the OK button to close the Preferences window.
What’s Next
This only changes the language in your Yahoo! Messenger and not in your contacts’ programs.
