Viewing a Contact’s Profile

Many of your Yahoo! contacts have profiles on Yahoo! Pulse that you can view to learn more about your friends. You might find out about a friend’s favorite hobbies or music. You can access profiles through Yahoo! Messenger, including those of your Facebook friends if you’ve linked your Yahoo! account to your Facebook account.

Tip: You can’t view profiles for your Windows Live™ Messenger contacts and Pingbox™ visitors.

Here’s How

  1. To view a friend’s profile, click the display image (or place the cursor over it in compact view) to view the contact card, then click View Profile.

Click View Profile in the contact card.

The contact’s profile opens in a Web browser.

What’s Next

You can create your own profile through Yahoo! Pulse and personalize it so others can learn more about you. For information, take a look at the Welcome to Yahoo! Pulse video tutorial.
