Viewing Your Own Updates

Your own Updates display in the Y! Updates tab with a blue background and in your contact card.

 

Here’s How

To view your Updates in the Y! Updates tab:

  1. Click the Y! Updates tab.

    Click the Y! Updates tab.

    All of your Updates have a blue background.

    Your Updates have a blue background.

 

To view your Updates in your contact card:

  1. Click your display image at the top of the Messenger window to open your contact card.

    Click your display image.

    Your Updates display at the bottom of the card.

  2. To see more Updates, click the bar at the bottom of the Updates area.

    Click the bar at the bottom of the Updates area.

    The area expands to show more Updates, and you can scroll to see all of your Updates.

    You can scroll to see more Updates.

Words to Know

  • Yahoo! ID: the name by which a person is known to the Yahoo! network.
  • Contact: a person with whom you interact; someone to whom you might want to send an email, instant message, or text message.
  • Yahoo! ID: the name by which a person is known to the Yahoo! network.
  • PC-to-PC calling: the ability to call another person’s computer from your computer; similar to placing a phone call. Both you and the person you are calling must have a Yahoo! ID and be logged into Yahoo! Messenger.

  • Yahoo! Phone In: a premium, subscription-based service of Yahoo! Voice that attaches a phone number to your Yahoo! ID so that you can receive phone calls to your computer through Messenger.
